Biography

Dr. Hausman was born in Onawa, Iowa. He grew up on a pig farm and went to West Monona High School.  Dr. Hausman began his education at the University of Iowa and finished his Doctorate at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  Dr. Hausman had the opportunity to work at both the Kansas City Veteran's Hospital and Truman Medical Center, which allowed him the opportunity to practice an integrated approach to patient care.  After graduation, Dr. Hausman practiced as a Chiropractor in Minneapolis, MN before deciding the long, freezing cold winters were not for him. He moved to Austin, TX in 2008, and traded the winters for long, hot summers. He opened Hausman Chiropractic & Acupuncture in June of 2009 in Northwest Austin, and thoroughly enjoys helping others while running his own business.

Dr. Hausman decided to become a chiropractor because he likes helping people get well without the use of medication and enjoys working in a hands-on profession.  He enjoys working with people of all ages, and can tailor his treatment to any individual, including infants, children, elderly, and pregnant women. Also, because of his personal interest in running and staying fit, he also enjoys working with Central Texas’s active population. Dr. Hausman works with athletes to help them reach optimum physical performance, as well as assist them with recovery from injuries.

Dr. Hausman celebrates having a diverse patient population and welcomes people from all walks of life.

When Dr. Hausman is not at the office, you may find “Robby” running on the trails at Town Lake. He is an avid amateur runner, and ran the Austin Marathon in 2009 and 2010. Robby also enjoys a variety of other activities, including yoga, skiing, swimming, and sand volleyball.
